Week 12

 This week, I learned about link building and more about Google Analytics. I am still working to understand link building, but I think I have a basic understanding. The more people talk about my website online, the more credit Google will give me. One way to get people talking about my website is by sharing links to my webpages on their blogs or social media or by me posting links along with comments on other blogs. I can also link images and infographics I put on my website. I still need to learn how to link images, but now I know that is something I need to do. One thing I learned about Google Analytics is that you have to really look at the question you want answered and really look at what Google Analytics is showing. I did an assignment this week and several of the questions could be interpreted in multiple ways, which made it difficult to know which column or place in Google Analytics to look at. Week 11

 This week, I learned about how to use social media to improve search engine optimization (SEO) and to boost my business in general. As far as SEO and social media, I learned that the more people talk about a business, the more credit Google gives them. One way to help us in using social media for SEO is to use hashtags that related to the content/products and ones that our target audience is searching for. Another thing to do is make sharing your content and website on social media an easy thing for your customers/readers to do, because it will hopefully generate a larger following.
