Week 8

This week, I learned about Google Ads Quality Score and about how to set up Google Analytics. Google Quality Score is a score that can help you see how you can improve your ads. It looks at your expected clickthrough rate, ad relevance, and landing page experience from recent performance. The main thing you want to do to improve your Quality Score is to focus on improving user experience and a high Quality Score will follow.

To connect your Google Ads account to Google Analytics, click “Admin” on the bottom left-hand corner of Google Analytics, click “Google Ads Linking,” then follow the steps to link your accounts.

I discovered this week that Google Analytics updated their system about a month ago, so it is currently having some problems with connecting to websites, because those sites are used to working with the old codes from Google Analytics. One thing I did figure out to help with that problem is when creating a new Google Analytics account, make sure to create a GA4 and a Universal Analytics property (see the third link below).
